About Ana
I have been working in the field of psychology for the past twenty years and have used alternatives to traditional psychotherapy such as clinical hypnosis, EMDR and Tibetan Bowl Therapy. I was drawn to these alternative therapies because of the influence of living and working in Calcutta, India for five years, when I was in my twenties, where I studied Hinduism and Indian classical vocal music. In my quest to find the most integrative therapy that will help people heal and grow, I have also trained and been certified in sound and color healing with acupuncture meridian system as well as the chakra system in the Hindu Philosophy. I also trained in the ancient art of Reiki Healing here in Philadelphia, as well as Somatic Experiencing in Peter Levin’s institute and am a Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapist. As I continue to learn these ancient and current modalities of wholistic practice, I incorporate them into my psychotherapy practice, believing that effective psychotherapy happens when both the practitioner and the client are open to exploring different and varied ways of self-development and healing.
