About Ana

I have been working in the field of psychology for the past twenty years and have used alternatives to traditional psychotherapy such as hypnosis, EMDR and Tibetan Bowl Therapy. I was drawn to these alternative therapies because of the influence of living and working in Calcutta, India for eight years, when I was in my twenties, where I studied Hinduism and Indian classical vocal music.

In my quest to find the most integrative therapy that will help people heal and grow, I trained in sound, color, movement and energy therapy. I have studied for the past three years with Fabien Mamen and Terres Unsoeld of the Tamado Academy. I also trained in the acient art of Reiki Healing here in Philadelphia. As I continue to learn these ancient arts, I incorporate them into my psychotherapy practice, believing that effective psychotherapy happens when both the practitioner and the client are open to exploring different and varied ways of self-development and healing.
